With the passion of steelhead fishing we see many seasons and many places. Our own back yard is showing positive signs of a stellar year of steelhead fly fishing. The Feather and Sacramento Rivers in California could be called some of the best fly testing grounds in the world. With our Alaska efforts paying of with tube fly patterns and intruders we are now shifting to the natural feeding steelhead. We could call the flies above steelhead love flies for the Nothern California area and beyond. Our east coast steelhead fly fishing friends can also count on us for true steelhead fly success. We are going to be on a mission here very soon and hope to cross paths in NY with a few people. Fly fishing the headwaters

A year with little rain opens a steelhead fly fishing winter wonderland for play. The sunlight is short this time of year in this canyon pictured in full midday glory.
